Zwane comments on Sundowns 4 goal rampage

Themba Zwane was on target when Mamelodi Sundowns thumped Baroka FC 4-0 to rise to the top of the Absa Premiership table.

Sundowns stamped their authority as early as 5 minutes in the match when they scored from the penalty spot through the educated foot of Motjeka Madisha. From there on Themba Zwane made it two goals by a clinical finish from a Percy Tau cross.

Tau turned goal scorer just two minutes after crossing for Zwane. He then got his brace on the 71st minute to close off the match.

“It was a great match for the lads. We had a plan and we dictated the match like the coach wanted us to. We always look to do our best and that is what carries us forward.

It’s good to score but ultimately it is about helping the team get positive results. So I am happy to have scored and helped the team do well. We are now on top of the table and it feels amazing. We also have a few games in hand but that does not mean much, we know this through experience,” Zwane said.

They next face Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday in an Absa Premiership encounter.

“The next game will be one that we go in for the kill. All we want is three points and nothing less,” concluded Zwane.
